A “security incident” on Thursday outside the CIA headquarters in Virginia prompted a law enforcement presence.

The main gate is currently closed and employees were advised to seek alternative routes, a spokesperson said.

Around 4 a.m., patrol officers responded to the 900 block of Dolley Madison Boulevard in McLean to assist CIA police with traffic control following a non-fatal shooting, Fairfax County police said in a Thursday statement.

Fairfax officers are still assisting with traffic support.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
