Wordle Analysis
Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here.
The last two days have seen some of the toughest Wordles we’ve had in a long, long time. Today’s was definitely easier, though I also got lucky on my third guess. PLANE left me with 140 remaining solutions which wasn’t ideal, but STORK delivered, leaving me with just four. The very first one I came up with was REUSE so I went with it. Lucky for me, that was the answer. I’m sure if I’d thought of CURSE or one of the other options first, I’d have gone with that instead.
Competitive Wordle Score
Today’s Wordle Bot
A tie today, alas, which leaves me with 1 point for guessing in three and the Bot with one point for guessing in three. I remain a small ways behind in our June totals:
Erik: 1 points
Wordle Bot: 7 points
How To Play Competitive Wordle
- Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is -1 points; guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing the Wordle is -3 points.
- If you beat your opponent you get 1 point. If you tie, you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it up to get your score. Keep a daily running score or just play for a new score each day.
- Fridays are 2XP, meaning you double your points—positive or negative.
- You can keep a running tally or just play day-by-day. Enjoy!
Today’s Wordle Etymology
The word reuse simply combines the prefix re-, from Latin re- meaning “again,” with use, which comes from Old French user (“to use”) and ultimately from Latin ūtī (“to employ, to make use of”). So reuse literally means “to use again.”
