WWE Night of Champions is set for June 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the card looks excellent on paper, though somehow, it doesn’t seem to be completely filled.

Back in the day, Night of Champions used to be the only show that featured title defenses from every current titleholder. It doesn’t appear as though that tradition will continue for the 2025 version of the show.

After an explosive episode of SmackDown on Friday that saw John Cena masterfully recreate CM Punk’s famous Pipe Bomb promo, there are five official matches on the card.

Here’s a look at them:

  • Undisputed WWE Championship: (c) John Cena vs. CM Punk
  • King of the Ring Tournament Finals: Randy Orton vs. Jey Uso or Cody Rhodes
  • Queen of the Ring Tournament Finals: Asuka vs. Roxanne Perez or Jade Cargill
  • WWE Men’s Intercontinental Championship: (c) Dominik Mysterio vs. A.J. Styles
  • WWE Men’s United States Championship: (c) Jacob Fatu vs. Solo Sikoa

Orton and Asuka punched their tickets to the King and Queen of the Ring finals at Night of Champions with wins over Sami Zayn and Alexa Bliss, respectively. We’ll find out if Orton will be facing Rhodes or Uso, and if Asuka will draw Roxanne Perez or Jade Cargill in the final.

The hope is that things won’t be predictable. However, you’d expect Rhodes to beat Uso and for Cargill to knock off Perez.

I’d predict Orton and Cargill to be the King and Queen of the Ring, with a title shot coming for both at SummerSlam.

The Jacob Fatu vs. Solo Sikoa title match was made on SmackDown. No one expects Fatu to drop the belt yet. He’s arguably the fastest-rising star in the promotion. I’d expect Sikoa to continue to put his cousin over and for the two to have an entertaining match.

Dirty Dom vs. Styles should be a classic match. Dom has improved so much as a performer across the board. Hopefully, he can inspire a spectacular performance from Styles. The veteran has looked a step slow of late. After all, he has been in more than his share of grueling and body-taxing matches during his career.

Still, Styles is the quintessential pro, and having a dance partner like Mysterio should pull the best out of him.

The following titles aren’t scheduled to be defended—at least not yet:

  • WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: (c) Becky Lynch vs. ???
  • WWE Women’s United States Championship: (c) Zelina Vega vs. ???
  • WWE Tag-Team Championship: Street Profits vs. ???
  • World Tag Team Championship: The New Day vs. ???

Lynch is in a feud with Bayley, and former Women’s IC Champion Lyra Valkyria is still in the peripheral. Vega wants respect, but she hasn’t been thrust into a compelling feud.

The Street Profits could draw the Wyatt Sicks, and the New Day could have an opponent as well.

We’ll see if there is another title match—or two—added to Night of Champions. The show takes place on June 28.
