Battlestate Games has revealed the release date for Escape From Tarkov, which is set to leave its beta state after years of ongoing development.
The release date was seemingly revealed in a new live action trailer for Tarkov, which shows game director Nikita Buyanov coding some features of the game. In his code, and throughout multiple points in the trailer, the date 15/11/25 is shown, which for Americans is November 15 2025.
Buyanov would then take to X to confirm that the Escape From Tarkov release date is November 15, stating that 1.0 will arrive on this date.
We have known for a while that the release date would be towards the end of this year, with many worrying it may arrive during the holiday period when the winter wipe typically arrives. Fortunately, this date is sooner than that, meaning you can get your Tarkov action in before the winter holidays.
Like most big Tarkov updates, we don’t know for sure what the 1.0 release will bring, but we have a better idea than most updates this far out. The main Tarkov story content will finally be added to the game, with a large portion of the team working on it for years at this point. That should include a full narrative, cutscenes, a new task line and the final Tarkov map, Terminal, which will be a single player experience.

The story of Escape From Tarkov will be, unsurprisingly, centred on escaping Tarkov, with the current thought being that you will need to earn in game items and unlock certain quests before finally being able to take on the final mission on the Terminal map to get out of the Tarkov area.
However, given the size of many of the recent wipes, fans also have expectations for even more content, with many hoping for more weapons, loot and of course some fixes to some of the more annoying issues that the game still has. While a number of those were fixed in the most recent patch, there are still quite a few left to solve.
There is also speculation that some major features of Tarkov could be removed for the full launch, especially after recent experiments in the hardcore wipe. With multiple successful tests of removing, or restricting, the flea market, there is speculation that it could be entirely removed by the time the 1.0 launch hits.
But with the Escape From Tarkov release date now know, we can expect the hype machine to kick up a notch and there will no doubt be a lot more communication from the development team regarding what will be included at launch. It has taken years to get here, but now version 1.0 of Tarkov is just around the corner.
