It’s been a long road to get to the release of Metroid Prime 4, but we’re finally here, and December cannot come soon enough.

What’s more, it’s confirmed that the game will be open world and feature a shiny bike, called Vi-O-La, which will help you traverse the dangerous landscapes of the game.

The new trailer (shown below) also emphasizes how nice the game looks on the Switch 2, although it will also get a regular Switch release.

In addition to all this, the game will get a bunch of amiibo, from Samus to Samus and Vi-O-La, and of course, the mysterious Sylux.

The latter is a plot point in the Prime games that has been a very slow burner in terms of its breadcrumb narrative reveals across the games in the series.

Sadly, there was no news of re-releases of Metroid Prime 2 or 3, which is a shame. However, the remaster for the first Metroid Prime on Switch comes thoroughly recommended.

The other big news is that after years of waiting, Metroid Prime 4 will be released on December 4.

So, I totally know what I’ll be playing over the holidays and obsessively finding each and every unlock and secret item the game has to offer.
