The NYT Mini is a quick version of the newspaper’s larger, long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five Mini grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.

Unfortunately, the New York Times has now made the Mini available only to subscribers. It was previously free to play. You’ll also need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.

It took me 0:41 to complete today’s NYT Mini.

If only I’d figured out SEE and hadn’t misspelled PARIS, I would have completed this on my first pass of the Across clues. Rats! Ah well, there’s always next time.
