Apple Confirms Date And More For Its Next Big Special Event

Updated March 25 with Apple’s confirmation of when WWDC will be held.
Apple has regular special events that you can look forward to. Biggest is the September event when that year’s iPhones will be revealed. Sometimes there’s an October event, often focusing on the Mac. And occasionally there’s a little something in the spring, like last year’s iPad Pro event. But there’s one event that is a shoo-in: the World Wide Developers Conference. In the last few minutes, Apple has confirmed its WWDC plans—happily they coincide with the predictions below.
WWDC 2025 starts on Monday, June 9.
WWDC 2025 Will Begin On June 9
Monday, June 9, it’s now been confirmed, will be the first day of WWDC this year and it will run to Friday, June 13. App has confirmed that “WWDC25 will be available entirely online and is free for all developers,” which chimes with how things were last year.
Developers can tune in online on the the Apple Developer app, Apple Developer website, and Apple Developer YouTube channel. Content will include video sessions and online labs. More on the opening day below.
WWDC 2025 Will Be In June
I mean, it nearly always is, so that’s an easy bet to place. But exactly when in the month should we expect it and when will we know for sure?
In recent years, Apple has held Dub Dub, as it’s affectionately abbreviated, in the first or second week of June. Last year it ran from Monday, June 10 to Friday, June 14.
The same structure is usually in place, with a keynote on the Monday morning, a State of the Union discussing the Apple platforms and a huge number of sessions for developers.
It’s the keynote that’s of most interest because that’s when Apple reveals its slew of new software to developers and the world. There may or may not be hardware revealed—Apple Vision Pro was a recent “one more thing” at the 2023 WWDC—but the software is always revealing.

Read between the lines and you get a glimpse of the direction of travel for Apple, as well as clear details of what will be coming to current iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple Watches for instance.
WWDC 2025 Keynote Date And Time
So, it’ll start on a Monday, and it always kicks off at 10 a.m. local time. Since it’s held in Apple’s home, that means 10 a.m. Pacific (1 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. U.K.).
The question is, which Monday?
Early June is always favorite, so I’m guessing that only two dates apply: Monday, June 2 or Monday, June 9. It really could be either, though my gut tells me that the second of those two dates is more likely.
Now that it’s set for June 9, Apple has also confirmed that there will be, like last year, an in-person experience “ that will provide developers with the opportunity to watch the Keynote and Platforms State of the Union at Apple Park, meet with Apple experts one-on-one and in group labs, and take part in special activities. Space will be limited; details on how to apply to attend can be found on the WWDC25 website,” Apple says.
