Apple iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Air Prices Detailed In New Report

Apple’s next special event will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 9 (full details here), and it’s then that everyone will find out the detail that Apple keeps most secret: the prices of the new products. A new report details what the iPhone 17 series are likely to cost.
Apple iPhone 16 in ultramarine finish – how much will iPhone 17 cost?
Apple
The expectation is that Apple will release four iPhones, like it did last September. Three will be updates to existing models: the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, but the fourth will be an all-new model that’s super-slim and may be called the iPhone 17 Air.
According to a new report in 9to5Mac, the latest intel on pricing suggests that “most” of the new phones will see a $50 price increase, but when you drill down into the data, it’s better than the headline looks.
First up is the iPhone 17, successor to the iPhone 16, obviously. Rumors suggest that this will stick to its current price, that is, $799 and up. No price increase there, then.
Going up the predicted price range, the next phone will be the iPhone 17 Air, which is thought to cost $949. That is $50 more than the iPhone 16 Plus that it replaces, but it’s clearly a completely different phone, so as the report says, “it’s not entirely fair to compare it,” but it does mean that if you don’t want the entry-level iPhone, then your next available option will be pricier.
We’re back on firmer ground with the iPhone 17 Pro, a direct sequel to the iPhone 16 Pro. The current item costs from $999 and the report is that it will go up to $,1049 for the model with the lowest storage. But there’s good news here, too: right now, the iPhone 16 Pro starts with 128GB storage, but it’s reported that Apple may change things so that, like the iPhone 16 Pro Max, 256GB is the lowest capacity. Which, if true, means this is actually a price cut compared to the 256GB iPhone 16 Pro!
Finally, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, costing from $1,149, may be replaced by an iPhone 17 Pro Max at $1,249. That’s a price increase for sure.
Still, it’s the only unarguable price hike of the four.
And, who knows, Apple may surprise everyone and not put the price up. We’ll know, on Sept. 9.
