Beyerdynamic Expands Its MMX Gaming Lineup With Two New Wireless Models At Gamescom 2025

Today, German audio brand beyerdynamic unveiled two new lightweight MMX gaming headsets at gamescom 2025, which is taking place in Cologne, Germany. The MMX 150 wireless and MMX 230 wireless headsets were designed and developed in Germany, with an eye on comfort, high-quality sound and customizable tuning via the beyerdynamic app.

Both headsets will be showcased this week at Gamescom in partnership with Freaks 4U Gaming. Four gaming stations at the show will be fitted out with the MMX 150 wireless headset so attendees can get firsthand experience of its abilities. The MMX 230 wireless headset will also make its public debut, giving visitors an exclusive first look at beyerdynamic’s flagship MMX headset.

Built For Comfort

The MMX 150 wireless headset is built for casual gaming and everyday listening. IT can deliver up to 50 hours of battery life, customizable tuning using the beyerdynamic app, plus a detachable “Most Effective Tactic Available” or META microphone. The headset can be used for gaming, streaming or catching up on TV shows.

The headset’s 40mm dynamic drivers were designed to deliver an immersive and detailed sound, having been developed and fine-tuned in Germany using premium materials and an ergonomic design for lasting comfort even through marathon gaming sessions.

Thanks to fast pairing and plug-and-play compatibility, gamers can get straight down to action on any console, mobile or PC without the need to set up. Clear communications are essential for gaming, so the detachable META VOICE microphone has sidetone that enables users to hear themselves in real time for precise callouts.

The microphone’s boom arm can be positioned for optimal clarity or removed altogether, transforming the headset into a pair of over-the-ear headphones for everyday use. The headset’s integrated electret condenser microphone has a 20–20,000Hz frequency range as well as instant mute control for privacy.

The flagship MMX 230 wireless headset isn’t just built for gaming. According to beyerdynamic, it’s “engineered for victory.” The headset features a replaceable battery that offers up to 60 hours of uninterrupted play. Thanks to the latest Bluetooth 6.0, the MMX 230 also provides low-latency connectivity, so players can get a split-second edge in any competitive scenarios.

Engineered in Germany, the MMX 230’s specially tuned 40mm dynamic drivers provide an accurate sound, so gamers can track their enemies, hear combatants’ footsteps and even react before their opponent does.

The lightweight construction, replaceable velour ear pads, and breathable materials ensure comfort during quick matches or all-night sessions. For pro gamers, the MMX 230 wireless integrates with professional setups, supporting PCs, consoles, interfaces and capture cards.
