British and Irish Lions vs ACT Brumbies: Live score and updates

The British and Irish Lions head to the Australian capital on Wednesday, taking on the ACT Brumbies in Canberra.

Known for cold weather and politics, Canberra is also home to Australia’s best Super Rugby side and the Lions will be hoping for a challenge at GIO Stadium as the business end of the tour approaches.

Andy Farrell has picked what looks to many observers as something very close to the best possible starting XV as he looks to sharpen their focus, with this their penultimate match before the first Test in Brisbane.

For the Brumbies, look out for brothers Lachie Hooper — who makes his debut off the bench — and Tom Hooper, who starts in the back row. The pair are set to play their first professional game alongside each other.

Meanwhile, it will be a Brumbies swansong for Jack Debreczeni and Ben O’Donnell, who play their last game for the side before heading to France next year.

Farrell will want his team to be much sharper than they were against the Waratahs last time out, and will be putting a bit of pressure on his players to step up and perform.
