An early winter weather wallop is bringing storms, dangerous road conditions and bone-chilling temperatures with more than 80 million Americans under freeze alerts. Residents near Chicago saw nearly a foot of snow in just a matter of hours, multiple vehicles slid off roadways in Indiana, western New York was blanketed with lake effect snow, and heavy rain flooded roadways near Atlanta. NBC’s Shaquille Brewster reports and TODAY’s Al Roker tracks the frigid temperatures and winter storm warnings.
