Chris Hemsworth Posts A Confusing ‘Thor’ Video, Possible ‘Doomsday’ Spoiler

Thor
I’m not entirely sure what Chris Hemsworth was thinking with this one, but the actor decided that now was a good time to post a “Legacy of Thor” video and reflect on his time in the role, seemingly sounding like he was about to leave the part behind.
The video, which has 324,000 views in less than a day, is made up of a number of clips of Thor throughout his many movie appearances, with the following message:
“Playing Thor has been one of the greatest honors of my life. For the last 15 years I’ve held Mjolnir and then Stormbreaker as the God of Thunder, but what made it truly special… was sharing it with all of you. Your passion, your cheers, and your love for this character have meant everything to me.”
“Thank you for making my journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe unforgettable.. Next up, Doomsday!”
This has left many Marvel fans confused as maybe it’s just Hemsworth posting this randomly to be appreciative of fans, but it reads like a “goodbye, thanks for everything” type thing that you’d release after you were clearly done with the part. I thought maybe this was the exact 15th anniversary of the original Thor, but since it was released on May 6, 2011, that’s not the case.
Hemsworth was the first name confirmed during the infamous Doomsday chair cast reveal, and now that has all led to the idea that the strongest Avenger may die during the events of that film. He’s one of the OG members of the team, arguably the central trio alongside Captain America, Iron Man and him. Hemsworth survived all this time and has appeared in 10 MCU movies in some form or another. It would not be surprising if he was ready to move on, but again, this feels like the type of video you’d publish after say, you did die in an Avengers movie.
Hopefully, Doomsday improves on Thor’s legacy, which was tarnished by the largely disliked Thor: Love and Thunder. There have been rumors about Thor 5 happening, but nothing has been confirmed and there is no film on the MCU slate right now. If there were, it would have to be 2027 or later.
So, this was just strange. It’s so strange I’m wondering if Hemsworth will come out and address it, given that it’s being interpreted mainly as some sort of goodbye, if not an outright Doomsday spoiler.
