Is Moses Itauma the next great heavyweight? We’re going to take one step closer to finding out on Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The undefeated 20-year-old KO sensation will get the stiffest test of his career when he clashes with veteran Dillian Whyte in the main event of the next Riyadh Season card.

Itauma (12-0, 10 KO) could be in a position to challenge for a world title as soon as 2026, but he’s got to prove he can handle a tough veteran like Whyte before he can ascend to a legit championship level.

The main event will top off a strong card that not enough people in boxing are talking about.

Here’s the viewing information and the entire card.

Date: Saturday, August 16

Time: 1 pm ET

Watch: DAZN

  • Moses Itauma (12-0) vs. Dillian Whyte (31-3) – Heavyweight – WBO Inter-Continental Heavyweight
  • Nick Ball (c) (22-0-1) vs. Sam Goodman (20-0) – WBA Featherweight Title
  • Filip Hrgovic (18-1) vs. David Adeleye (14-1) – Heavyweight – WBO International Heavyweight
  • Raymond Ford (17-1-1) vs. Abraham Nova (24-3-1) – Super Featherweight
  • Hayato Tsutsumi (7-0) vs. Qais Ashfaq (13-3-1) – Super Featherweight
  • Mohammed Alakel (4-0) vs. Yumnam Santosh Singh – (Weight class not specified)

Itauma has the potential to be a platform for a massive statement. If Itauma mows down Whyte as he has his past 12 opponents, he’ll be in line for an even bigger fight the next time out. If Whyte pulls the upset, he’ll have stopped the Itauma hype train, and he could find himself in an unexpected title eliminator.

Aside from the main event, the featherweight scrap between Ball and Goodman is a battle between undefeated fighters. Ball has been an exciting performer as champion and while Goodman doesn’t possess a ton of power, there is something special about taking away another opponents “0.”

Heavyweight Hrgovic will look to continue his rise back up the heavyweight ranks. After being stopped in eighth round by Daniel Dubois in June 2024, Hrgovic bounced back with a unanimous decision win over Joe Joyce in April. If Hrgovic can knock off the powerful Adeleye who is also on the comeback trail following a stoppage loss to Fabio Wardley in October 2023.

Adeleye has stopped Solomon Dacres and Jeamie Tshikeva since the loss to Wardley. Because of the title aspirations both Adeleye and Hrgovic have, this fight is a high-stakes heavyweight affair that will tell us whose ready for the next step. The winner could be Itauma’s next opponent–if he can get by Whyte.

Be on the lookout for the results from the event following the action.
