Networking brand EnGenius has announced the development of its ECC500 AI Surveillance Camera. This 8-megapixel camera has been designed for enterprise-class scalability with high-performance recognition and next-generation AI intelligence.

The ECC500 is for organizations needing faster, smarter and more flexible security in complex environments. Equipped with on-device and Cloud AI, the ECC500 uses transformer-based, deep-learning models taht go beyond traditional vision analytics. The camera can read faces, license plates and other objects with accuracy and context awareness, even in difficult conditions.

EnGenius claims the high-performance edge inference of its new security camera delivers real-time recognition without the need to access external servers. The camera’s cloud-native design means a system can be scaled seamlessly.

Face Tracking

With the ECC500 integrated into the EnGenius Surveillance Cloud, organizations can access powerful face-tracking capabilities. The system has a cloud timeline function that enables security teams to track exactly when and where a person appeared. This can be correlated with appearances across multiple cameras and locations.
