Google Makes Rare New Offer To Pixel Customers

Google is sending out coupons, via email, to Google One subscribers that knocks a chunk of money off the Pixel 10.

Earlier this week, Google One subscribers started receiving emails with coupons that knocked 25% off the Pixel 10 series. The offer lasts until November 2nd and is restricted to users who are subscribed to the cloud storage service.

Some redditors shared their voucher-offer email in Pixel phone subs, but it looks like not every Google One subscriber received the coupon, myself included.

“I’m a Google One subscriber and did not get this email. Could it be because I got Google AI Pro free because of the purchase of the Pixel 10 Pro and this is only for paying subscribers?” one said. “Nope, don’t have it. I’m in Canada.” Another redditor complained.

Why are the coupons being sent to some, but not all, Google One subscribers? The offer may be region locked: it looks like subscribers in the U.K. and U.S. have received them. But it isn’t uncommon for Google to send out these types of vouchers to a seemingly random selection of its user-base without explanation.

Previous Google Pixel 9 And Pixel 10 Offers

Before the Pixel 10 launched, Google had promised an “exclusive offer” to anyone to registered to receive marketing emails about the flagship. That offer transpired to be vouchers that knocked between $30 and $200 off the Pixel 10, but it wasn’t entirely clear why some signups received bigger discounts than others. Although, there was a clear pattern that Pixel buyers outside of the U.S. received a smaller offer.

In November 2024, the Search company sent out $150 vouchers to select Google One (now called Google One AI Pro) subscribers in several countries. Like this new deal, not all subscribers received one. Before that, the company also emailed $150 store credit coupons to random Google Photos users.

Maybe there’s a list of Google’s preferred users, or maybe it operates these coupon giveaways like a lottery. The company certainly doesn’t restrict these vouchers to people who haven’t bought a Pixel 10 yet, as evidenced by the redditors who have the device but still received the coupon.

Google Pixel 9a, Pixel 10 and Pixel 9 Prices

Despite Google’s penchant for persistent price drops on its flagship hardware, the company hasn’t been as aggressive with its Pixel 10 discounts as it has done in previous years. That will change come Black Friday. But shoppers who want to find a cheap Pixel now should look at last year’s models.

The base Pixel 9 is 32% cheaper at Amazon right now, dropping the price down to $544 from $799. The retailer has also dropped the price of Pixel 9 Pro by $75, although you will be able to find a much cheaper price than that for the 2024 flagship in a few weeks. Earlier this month Amazon slashed the price of the Pixel 9a by $100, bringing the price down to $499 from $499. Keep an eye on the retailer over the next couple of weeks because what it doesn’t offer in freebies or trade-in prices, it more than makes up for in device pricing compared to other shops. That will be especially true for the Pixel 10.
