Google Pixel 9 Price Slashed In Major New Sale

It’s a good time to buy an Android phone. The Pixel 9a received its first discount this week and Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra had its price slashed at several stores. Now, Google’s main Pixel 9 series is on sale in one of its best deals yet.
Amazon has dropped the price of the entire Pixel 9 series. Unlike Amazon’s current Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra sale, this is a no thrills deal that only discounts the handset and comes with no freebies or store credit as part of the deal. You can, however, trade-in your old phone to extend the price cut. More on that later.
Here are Amazon’s new Pixel 9 prices.
- Google Pixel 9 – $599, $200 off
- Google Pixel 9 Pro – $799, $200 off
- Google Pixel 9 Pro XL – $899, $200 off
- Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold – $1499, $300 off
The only missing device on the sale list Pixel 9a, which had stayed at full price until last week, when the U.K. Google store knocked a small £50 ($67.72) off the handset. Understandable considering the phone was only released last month.
There’s no U.S. discount for the budget Google phone yet, but we know from previous releases that the Search company will start issuing more serious discounts from September onwards. Google dropped the Pixel 8a’s price by £80 ($106.85) in July 2024 and then by £100 ($133.56) in September.
If you’ve had your eye on the Pixel 9a, wait until fall for more serious price drops. Also keep an eye on Amazon (or hit the follow button below) because the company often runs sudden flash sales like the one above.

Amazon’s trade-in prices aren’t the best, especially up against Samsung’s (and on occasion, Apple’s) swap valuations. Even Google, which rarely measures up to Samsung’s industry-leading trade-in pricing, has Amazon beat. Check out the price comparisons below of realistic devices to trade-in.
- Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max – Google price: $400, Amazon price: $290
- Google Pixel 6 Pro – Google price: $145, Amazon price: $60
- Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra price – Google price: $220, Amazon price: $145
Where Amazon does have an advantage in this Pixel 9 deal is that it will accept more than one phone to trade-in at once. The company runs its trade-in program separate to the device on sale, so you can send in as many handsets as you want to increase your discount. I doubt that people have more than one high-end smartphone sitting around to sell, but Amazon accepts a wide range of older phones should your devices need to be recycled.
