Hisense Adds Freely Streaming Service To All 2024 And 2025 Laser Projectors

Hisense Adds Freely Streaming Service To All 2024 And 2025 Laser Projectors

Having become the first TV brand in the world to adopt the new Freely streaming service when it launched in April 2024, Hisense has now extended that Freely support to all of its laser projector products. So you can now enjoy Freely’s expansive choice of live-streamed channels (essentially all the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 channels carried on the Freeview terrestrial digital broadcasting platform, plus a few more besides) at huge screen sizes without requiring an external receiver or an integrated digital tuner.

The laser projector products that have just received the Freely update include Hisense’s acclaimed range of Laser “TVs”, where ultra short throw projectors with powerful built-in speaker systems are partnered with ambient light-rejecting projection screens to create the effect of a huge TV at a fraction of the price that such a king-sized regular LCD or OLED TV would cost.

Also covered by the Freely roll out, though, are Hisense’s stand-alone UST projectors, and its popular series of laser-based “lifestyle” coffee-table and gaming projectors.

Hisense has been the no. 1 global Laser TV brand for six consecutive years, securing more than 65% of the market in 2024 according to market analyst OMDIA. So while the world of laser projection is still a fairly niche home entertainment proposition compared with that of ‘regular’ TVs, Freely finding its way into Hisense’s Laser TVs still represents a significant expansion of the U.K. streamer’s presence. Especially since the Freely support is actually being rolled out to Hisense’s full range of 2024 Laser projectors as well as its 2025 models.

The range of Hisense laser products confirmed as receiving the Freely update includes the PX3TUK Pro, PT1TUK (with its triple laser cinema spec, including Dolby Vision and IMAX support), PL2TUK, C2TUK, C2TUK-ULTRA, C2TUK-Pro, M2TUK Pro, and the flagship L9Q TriChroma Laser TV, with its 5,000 lumens of claimed peak brightness, support for screen sizes up to a mighty 200 inches across, and built-in 6.2.2-channel sound system.

The addition of Freely to Hisense laser projection products joins the previous expansion of the streaming service into even Hisense’s 2025 small-screen TV series (the A4Q, A5Q and S5Q), meaning that Freely is now integrated across Hisense’s entire TV range.

“We’re delighted to announce our extended partnership with Everyone TV, which now includes our award-winning Laser products,” says Robert Andrews, Hisense UK’s Head of Strategy & GTM. “With this new integration, we’re now able to provide our valued Laser customers with an industry-first entertainment offering, giving them access to all their favourite TV and on-demand services. The combination of our exceptional large screen Laser products and the renowned Freely platform gives us a truly unique and market-leading offering.”

“Hisense has been a valued partner since the beginning of Freely,” adds Jonathan Thompson of Freely owner, Everyone TV, “and we’re delighted to see our collaboration expand even further with this latest update. Together we’re making it easier than ever for audiences to enjoy the best of live and on-demand TV, all in one place, for free.”
