JBL Launches Safe Listening For Kids With New Junior Free Open-Style Earphones

Open-style earphones are all the rage right now for outdoor sporty types who want to remain aware of their surroundings when jogging or cycling. However, open-style earphones have another important advantage that’s rarely spoken about… hearing safety.

Now audio brand JBL has announced the JBL Junior FREE, open-style earphones designed especially for kids and their hearing. Bringing open sound to a new generation, JBL Junior FREE combines JBL OpenSound with JBL Safe Sound to give kids a safe and fun listening experience.

Featuring an open-ear design made especially for smaller ears, the new earphones feature advanced parental noise and playtime controls with a volume limit of less than 85dB. They are available in three vibrant and playful colors that children are bound to love.

JBL Safe Sound gives parents more control over their children’s listening habits. Tapping the JBL Headphones app provides real-time volume and activity time indicators, plus there are daily or weekly activity reports on volume levels and time exposure to help children maintain safe listening habits.

The JBL Junior FREE is made with soft silicone materials and have been made as light as possible to ensure comfort. And because kids are never one size, there is a flexible neckband that can be adjusted to ensure the earphones sit comfortably and can adapt as a child grows.

Featuring larger kid-friendly buttons, a splashproof design and wireless Bluetooth connectivity for tangle-free tunes, the JBL Junior FREE can play for up to 10 hours between charges and they are robust enough to withstand a bit of rough and tumble.
