Samsung’s forthcoming super-slim Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone is tipped for a valuable promotional bundle, according to discoveries made in a recent report.

Code hidden within the latest beta version of the Google app for Android reveals that preparation is underway for the Galaxy S25 Edge to receive a promotional Google Gemini Advanced plan at launch, currently valued at $19.99 per month. Gemini Advanced is Google’s premium AI assistant, providing access to the company’s most powerful AI models and features.

Moreover, Google provides Gemini Advanced as part of a Google One AI Premium subscription plan that includes 2TB of general-purpose cloud storage that you can use whether or not you choose to use Google’s AI-powered offerings.

App analyst Assemble Debug recently discovered signs of the Galaxy S25 Edge promo as part of an investigation by Android Authority, where he uncovered an updated list naming devices eligible for free Gemini Advanced promotions, including the “Pixel 9,” “Moto,” “Samsung S25,” “Samsung S25 Edge,” “Xiaomi,” and “Other.” The Samsung S25 Edge is a new addition to this list, separate from the rest of the Galaxy S25 range, implying it will come with an unexpectedly different version of the Gemini Advanced promo.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Gemini Advanced Offer — Details Unknown

The devices named on the list come with bundled subscriptions of varying durations. The Pixel 9 series, for example, comes with a full year’s subscription, whereas the current Galaxy S25 range comes with only six months of free Gemini Advanced. In other cases, such as Motorola’s Moto Razr+ handsets, a Gemini Advanced promo of three months was offered, but only to those who pre-ordered their devices.

Given that the Galaxy S25 Edge has its own entry in the list, it will likely be treated differently from other Galaxy S25 devices. However, at this stage, there’s no information regarding whether it’ll be better or worse than the offer made to existing Galaxy S25-series owners. Because the Galaxy S25 Edge is a new class of device, expected to sit somewhere between the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra in terms of price, it seems unlikely that Samsung would provide less than six months of Gemini Advanced with this model.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is widely anticipated to arrive in mid-April 2025, with April 16 being the hotly tipped launch date.
