Wondering what prompt you might get after swiping a card at an iPad cash register? Not sure who star of the Eras Tour is? Don’t worry, because I’m here to help you with the answers for today’s NYT Mini crossword.

The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper’s larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.

Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you’ll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.

Here are the NYT Mini Crossword clues and answers for Saturday, May 10:

It took me 1:14 to complete today’s NYT Mini.

That’s a dang good time for a Saturday Mini! I got most of the Across answers on my first pass. I have no idea why I didn’t figure out MAP (an easy one in hindsight) while PHOTO ID had me flustered, so I moved on quickly.

I did think that SPF was “ozs” because I didn’t read the clue properly. That slowed me down a bit once I got to the Down words. Nevertheless, I completed all the Down clues on my first try to get a decent time.

See you tomorrow for more NYT Mini fun!
