Being Creative Towards Becoming Successful

In this life there are so many businesses one could venture into and become made, so many areas like fashion, food, music, sport etc.

So why are people poor and don't seem to take advantage of these opportunities and venture into one of these areas. When we look well into this we see that they don't have a good plan, bad mindset about handwork, lack of investment strategies and even laziness...etc.

Most of our university graduates depend only on their certificate to make money. They don't know that there are other means that can fetch them even more money than their certificates can too. So they fail to venture into other businesses and having another profession asides from being employed with their own certificate.

There is a really good saying with a good meaning to it which says not to put all your eggs in one basket, it is not good to put all your eggs in one basket because if they all break you would regret it deeply same thing applies to profession it is good to be versatile and venture into as many businesses as one can to sustain yourself and your family so even in your last days you would have something to fall back and rely on.

Learn to utilize your talent, know what you are good at and work towards using it to earn a living.

  • Good and impressive article, I will suggest that we the youth should not really depend on working under people or government, we should try to study and notice ourselves to know where we are good and very creative so we can utilize it, and can make the nation proud.

  • Good and interesting article, many of our young ones never want to think out side the box. people should start asking them selfs, what interest me in life and start from it. While you are thinking that, i will advice you start with NNU first, to keep your self busy.

  • You should also remember that no one chooses to be poor. There are circumstances that surrounds one to be put in such situation. Almost everyone have an idea of what to do but what about the resources, some don't even have such opportunities. So, I believe its lies on meeting the right people to aid our rise to being successful.

  • Our problem in this country is that everyone wants to go to school, everyone wants to be educated, everyone wants to be a graduate and our mentality is that it is hardly for us to be successful if we didn't go to school, forgetting that there are so many handwork that we can do of which we find as dirty works.

  • This nicely written and I would chip in too that young people should also be able to tell what they are actually very good in doing, it could be in music, acting, designing, playing football as well, e.t.c.. These are skills which can yield enough fortune for them, and thats creativity too

  • This is one leaving cause of poverty in Nigeria, when students only study and attain good grades with the aim of working for someone else. They ignore their own inbuilt talents in other to chase other things they feel will fetch them more money, but in truth that’s not the case. Because that talent or skill you ignore and look down on could be what’d change your life for the better.

  • I love this article. In this country, depending on your certificate is highly risky due to the kind of country we find ourselves. I'm not saying education is irrelevant, it is really important but one must also have another means of procuring income to keep body and souls together.

  • Yes you have a very good article. But for me I think is high time to shift a little bit from investment lecture to capital raising. The truth is that many of us have a good business plan and strategy but no means of fund to finance it. So tell me, how can we make this dream come through without capital?

In a nutshell, dont only tell us on a business idea but how to get means and easy finance to start up.

  • Every individual both Male and female are created with talents, amazing abilities,  but we need to discover it,before putting it to work. People think talents are discovered in schools, I'll say yes and no, yes because that's what school is established for, to discover your hidden talent and help you put it to use, this what happens in abroad, at a very young age, they help kids realise their talents. But here in our country, school is all about reading, writing exams and collecting certificate, they dont help people discover who they really are and what talents they have. When I was in secondary school,  I had this classmate that is not really bright when it comes to academic,  it was so bad that he couldn't spell his name, after normal class, each person will take turn to personally teach him, along the line, we discovered that he's very good with electronics, we bought extension, and this boy,  I dont know how he did it, he connected the wire that passes current to the ceiling with one of the extension,  that was how we were able to start to charge our phones, we told our principal and he called his parent's attention to it, today he works with a big firm at agbara without going to school,

  • The article is making sense. Currently, here in Nigeria your degree doesn't really pave way for you, but what you have upstairs shows how far you will go when you meet the right people with the right creativity.

    - Felix Nwankwo Chukwuma - 2019-10-01 22:19:31 Quote

  • I believe one of the main causes of poverty and dependence on degree is lack of creativity and profitable initiatives by youths. We get blinded by the very few that become successful and well to do by the number of degrees they hold, and fail to consider the seemingly unfortunate masses that stand no chance of survival using their certificates. The youth’s got energy and it has to be projected toward the right, positive and beneficial direction.

  • One of the major causes of unemployment or undet employment in Nigeria is the problem of paper qualification.employment not depending on what you can do in terms of handi work buy in your certificate.where so many have the certificate but cant defend and talents should be properly guided amd developed so that we can start moving forward and having employable youths.

  • Applaudable writeup. Most youth are unable to discover their talent and make use of it. Which is really bad. Like you said, there are other means of survival, like music, acting and so on. It will really do our youth a great favour if we delve into other fields

  • Creativity as we all know can lead to success a typical example of this is the 30 billion gang member Broda shaggi who with his creative skit and comedy now holds a top sport in the Nigerian comedy industry and in short the Nigerian entertainment industry. He not only makes good skit, he also acts and as well sings. It is clear for the world to see that with creativity and a little bit of finance you can overcome the highest odds.
