Challenges Artist Face In Music Production
Most artistes are faced with the issue that there are no good producers around them.
If you fall into this category of artistes, I will be sharing with you how you can make the best out of this situation.
We are in the internet age where distance is no longer a barrier when it comes to sending digital files from one place to another and that has opened up opportunities for both artistes and good producers.
1. There recording stage – This is where the vocals are recorded. This stage requires that you go to the studio.
2. The mixing stage – At this stage, editing of the vocals is done. It is at this stage that arranging, comping, and adding of effects are done.
The vocals are properly arranged, noise is removed, unavoidable errors are corrected, and the whole song is made to sound good at this stage.
3. The mastering stage -This is the stage where the song is prepared for final distribution. The song is basically made to sound louder and the standard output format is set.
Now, if you happen to be in a location where there are no good producers, you can go to any of the studios near you and do the recording stage. Just ensure that the studio has a good mic and sound card.
Tell the producer to arrange the vocals the way you want it to be and remove all unnecessary audio so that the size of the overall file will not be too large.
After that, collect the raw data file. The raw data file is what you can send to any good producer to do the mixing and mastering.
The size of an average raw data file can be between 200mb to 500mb which can be sent to any producer over the internet.
Let me point out that this process will be more expensive because most studios will still collect the same amount they charge for recording, mixing, and mastering.
You will also pay the professional engineer to do his job and let’s not forget the amount you will spend on data.
If you care about the final quality of your song, this information will be of good use to you.
