Ways To Deal With Acid Reflux
Acid reflux is a result of the gastric acid fluid (the acidic fluid present in your stomach that also helps in digestion of food), flowing back to oesophagus resulting in heart burn (a burning sensation in the upper part of your abdomen).
Some people might be facing such disease and not knowing what it is or how to treat it. Acid reflux might also be a symptom for other diseases such as peptic/gastric ulcer, so you have to be sure of what exactly you are treating. There are a couple of ways you can treat or manage acid reflux, some of which are;
> Modify your Diet: Switch up what you eat, reduce the alcohol to the barest minimum, take little to no soft drinks/soda, reduce your amount of spicy foods and citric fruits e.g lemons, limes and oranges. Eat more of apples, bananas, mangoes, watermelon, salads, oatmeal and drink lots of water.
> Choose The Right Medication: If you don't have much time to sit and wait in a hospital to get attended to, go a trusted pharmacy and get some antacids to help manage the reflux, you can try Rulox antacid suspension and Rubidium tablets.
> Stop Missing Breakfast: Do not miss the most important meal of the day, no matter how early you are meant to get to work or how busy your schedule seems, always make sure you eat a balanced food before beginning your day, because the body needs something to run on, if not it would start to eat itself (major cause of ulcers).
