INJUSTICE AS THE NEW JUDICIAL SYSTEM; Is Justice For Only The Rich Or For Both The Rich And The Poor?

It has been observed that the Judicial system is no longer available to all. The Rule of law which says that the law of the land is supreme over all which includes: The rulers or the ruled, the rich or the poor has now become a point of laughter rather than to be taken seriously. This days the majority or the rich have their WAY in court because of their money and fame even when they are found to be guilty of the crime committed leaving the minority and the poor with just their SAY. Their have been several cases where a rich person and a poor person have been in court and judgment was passed in favor of the rich when he should have been guilty and the poor being sentenced for a crime not committed, that is injustice.

Also the rich use their money to scale through judgment if they were sentenced. Injustice as eaten through the York of Nigeria judicial system like a virus and is still spreading and no one wants to do anything about it. Although where they are bad eggs you can still find good ones too but am afraid that the good ones are few and can't stand out

And so my question is was the Judicial system built for only the Majority and the Rich?

  • In Nigeria today, when the rich and the poor is found guilty, arrested and taken to court, the rich will bribe the lawyer so he can't go to jail while the poor will go to jail that's injustice, which is not Right, Corruption have killed this country to the extent nobody can do anything about it.the rich steals money as he /she likes but the person will not go to jail for it but when the poor steals that's where the poor will go to jail.so justice is meant for both the poor and rich.

  • Weak judicial system has always been a problem in Nigeria, the law of the land is over anyone,be it the president or any executive, the problem in this country is because the educational system is backwards so the lawyers produced by this week educational system are mainly in it for the money. But in a democratic state, justice is meant for both the poor and the rich.

  • In my own opinion the new judicial system favours the rich than the poor in so many aspect talking about hiring a good lawyer that is smart and knows what he or she is doing the rich own that an average man cannot afford a lawyer with these outstanding qualities
