Okorocha Issues Warning To Ihedioha

Former Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha said the present Governor of Imo state, Emeka Ihedioha's infringement on his personal property is a signal that he wants to witch hunt and abuse of power. The Governor of Imo state, Emeka Ihedioha has made some investigations and has reported to the Economic and Financial Crime Comission(EFCC) concerning the money laundering Okorocha might have been involved in during his tenure as the governor.

Governor Ihedioha has also alleged that Okorocha approved and used about N11.2 billion to build ultra-modern police headquarters and hospitals for the military, stating that the funds were been denied of the Imo state indigenes because such funds could have been used directly for the impact of the [people instead of using it for a constitutionally excluded project for the  state government.

There were also cases of alleged government properties looted by the former governor which have been sealed and are all under investigation.

In response to this, Okorocha said he has been quiet amidst all these happenings and Ihedioha should not take his silence for granted.

Do you think Okorocha has been wrongly accused? On the other hand, Is Ihedioha going about it the right way, If not what measure should he take to tackle such situation?

  • He should be probed, it surprises me how he used 11.2 billion naira to build police headquarter and military hospital when he could have used the money to better the states economy.

  • Okorocha ought not to use the state's funds to execute federal projects.  So far as I know, security lies on the exclusive list which clearly indicates that the Federal government ought to handle anything relating to it.

If he's sure he ran a transparent administration while in office,  he should go and prove to the anti graft agency and stop making noise unnecessarily to gain public sympathy

  • The truth is that nobody is guilty of an offence unless there is concrete evidence that proved the accused guilty .

There should be an investigations into the matter and if the outcome show's that Ex governor Okorocha is guilty of all the allegations against him, then let him face the wrath of the law, because no one is above the law.

But Governor Ihedioha should not loose focus, let him know that the people of Imo State expects good governance from him without further delay.

He should focus on his tenure rather reporting okorocha for something we are not sure if him, ihedioha, is not also doing. I believe he is trying to gain false trust from his people.
