The Future Of Nigerian Automobile

By - - [ Autos ]

Many people have often ask the question about Nigerians making automobiles and all i hear people say is 'no, they only assemble'. Then i ask myself why. Why are'nt Nigerians moving forward. Just recently, i was going through a list of the worlds fastest cars and i couldnt help but wonder how people came about it. Below is a list to keep you on track:

Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ 304 mph

Hennessey Venom F5 301 mph (claimed)

SSC Tuatara 300 mph (claimed)

Koenigsegg Agera RS 278 mph

Hennessey Venom GT 270 mph

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport 268 mph

Rimac Concept Two 258 mph (claimed)

SSC Ultimate Aero 256 mph

Aston Martin Valkyrie 250 mph (claimed)

McLaren Speedtail 250 mph (claimed)

Tesla Roadster 250 mph (claimed)

Milan Red 249 mph (claimed)

Saleen S7 Twin Turbo 248 mph

Koenigsegg CCR 242 mph

McLaren F1 241 mph

Pagani Huayra BC 238 mph.

Wow right, just look at their speed. My take on this is that Nigerians can actually get here if only we're determined and our government decide to do something about it. I have heard of Nigerians working abroad in some of these countries because they have no place to practice their professions in Nigeria. So the question now is" Do you think Nigeria has got what it takes to be automotive inclined?"

Honestly we are trying our bests in this country but our government is not encouraging all our manufacturers by supporting them and providing conducive atmosphere to explore and improve their skills. We can get there and even do more on automobiles if only they get adequate support from the goverment

Nigeria has the brain to do so many things but to plan and move forward on those things they can do is the problem..and also this government of ours are not making any moves on investing on Nigeria with brain, they prefer going abroad. I think we have what it takes but to invest and plan is d problem we are facing

It is a well known fact all around the world that Nigerians have the best brains and we can achieve whatever we set our minds to. But the government is the problem. Instead of encouraging Nigerians that are gifted and talented in that field; they rather loot the national treasury then still go and lavish some of their loot importing expensive cars with expensive shipping costs from abroad. If only we can build our own car manufacturing plants here and employ competent hands, our cars will even be the best in the world. May God help us!

As a country its not easy with the economic crisis and all that just recently i saw IVM motors made by nigerians in Nigeria, i think we should support their product maybe in few years time more companies would be established and Nigeria will be flooded with home made cars also ivm makes fantastic ride lets help them move to the next level and with time they will manufacture those speed cars

Nigeria has got everything to be successful not only being automobile inclined but in all ramifications. There are brains out there, thousands of engineering students graduating every year etc. To make Nigeria automobile inclined, the government should encourage and support engineers by making ready the materials needed, creation of factories and sending the highly brained engineers abroad to go gain more knowledge in order to utilize it in Nigeria

Nigeria has what it takes to own an automobile and we have enough people who are willing to do it provided there is enough equipment and industry but the problem is bad government. Our leaders are concerned in embezzling our money rather than building such industries and providing the equipment.
