The Luxurious Life Of Instagram Slay King, Mompha And His Arrest

Anyone active on most social media platforms would have come across or heard about mompha. He frequently showcase his wealth and his luxurious lifestyle is all over the internet. He is in the same boat as hushpuppi when it comes to showing off, but I will say hushpuppi is more controversial. Looking at the lifestyle of these men, I just concluded that their way of making money is not clean, because anyone who legitimately makes money won't spend it the way these guys do. You won't see Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg posting the bills of the breakfast they had at a five-star hotel or posting the receipt of the latest car they bought. And yet we don't know what business Mompha and Hushpuppi are into.

Now I'm hearing news that mompha has been arrested by EFCC allegedly for money laundering and Internet fraud. He escaped from Interpol in Dubai and ran to Nigeria to hide, not knowing he is running into the waiting hands of EFCC. When I heard about his arrest, I wasn't even surprised because I knew it will come to that one day. EFCC has invited Hushpuppi several times to Nigeria since he said he is a legitimate businessman, but he has been dodging ever since. It's just a matter of time before he is arrested also.

  • I think money gotten in a descent way will never be flash the way this Guy's dose theirs,. Money should be respected and given value, without it live becomes less interesting and also flaunting money like this is one of the reasons most young people now a days goes into any dubious means to get it just to show off like them.,  the efcc should really interrogates them two

  • Most of these guys are the architect of their own demise, the way they flaunt their money & wealth through social media is very very inappropriate to the society because it does not encourage any thing good rather than evil, it will make people especially the youth willing to do anything to make money just to be like this big boys. Any money gotten through a genuine source is not advertised on social media, I will use this medium to applaud the authority for bringing this guy's to justice.

  • Whenever you gather your wealth through dubious means you will definitely misbehave and spending anyhow will automatically becomes your culture because you didn't labour for it. Now their cup is full, they have to face the outcome of the judgement

  • He can’t run away from his shadow, I know definitely a day like this would come, living luxurious life on social media, making a lot of people feel depressed. Yet we don’t know the source of their wealth, they only choose to intimidate others..

  • I'm glad the authority was able to nab the so called mompha. These days youths don't want to work legitimately for their money and these has increased the crime rate in the country. Youths (even teenagers)  are looking for illegal means to earn money big to intimidate others.

They level of cyber crime in this country is alarming and the youths are going in large numbers into it.  I beg the government to take serious and effective action against this act. We can't let this be our way of life.

  • I belive and support your opinion , normally money gotten the right is never been show cased that way , but in a way I believe government should make the economy good a bit , so as young youth can venture into good business easily , so I will say to EFCC to look into those bad leaders and end this corruption once and for all.

  • That's serves him right

They don't always tell the source of their money but they lavish it and show it to the world inorder to currupt the mind of teenagers into doing wrong stuff like kidnapping and other human trafficking stuff all in the name of I want be like him...

  • No one who make his money in legal and genuine way will advertise his wealth. All those who go about advertising their wealth on social media don't know the essence of wealth and life. A day shall come when they will languish in jail for their ill gotten money.
