While the Edge is best known for being very slim, as was demonstrated when Samsung teased the handset back in January, the company also revealed that it had AI features while fitting with users expectations of a device that’s lightweight without sacrificing power and innovation.
“The latest addition to the Galaxy S series is both a powerful AI companion and an engineering marvel, merging flagship-level performance with superior portability. This is more than a slim smartphone,” Samsung said.

“Every curve, contour and component reflects a breakthrough in precise engineering to create a premium experience worthy of the S series name. The Galaxy S25 Edge not only sets a new standard for what you can achieve with your smartphone, but it also unlocks a new era of growth for the mobile industry,” presumably suggesting that other slim-but-potent smartphones will follow the Edge — and numerous rumors have said that Apple will have its answer in the iPhone 17 Air, this fall.
Samsung also says it has what it calls the ultimate camera experience, despite the phone’s slim form, with a 200-megapixel wide lens that will benefit from Galaxy AI to deliver a smart lens that helps recognize “what matters to create new memories,” Samsung said.
We’ll know more about the phone in the coming days.
