Samsung Launches Aggressive New Galaxy S25 Offer Before iPhone 17 Launch

Keenly aware that the new iPhone 17 will dominate headlines for the next couple of weeks, Samsung has launched a new Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy S25 Ultra deal to reel in buyers before they pre-order Apple’s latest handset. This comes just a week after the company’s major Galaxy Z Fold 7 giveaway promotion.

Like last week’s free laptop deal, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has been bundled with a free Galaxy Chromebook Go 14”, which is worth £399 ($540.63). That deal lasts for another month until October 10th.

Samsung is also offering a guaranteed £200 ($270.99) for any Android phone you trade in, regardless of the condition. Regular deal readers will know that Samsung likes to roll out this ‘any device, in any condition’ deal on occasion, and it is always worth taking advantage of if you’re planning to buy a handset.

Samsung previously told me that it truly will honor the ‘any condition’ part of the deal. Still, I wouldn’t send in a heap of taped-together wires, which once resembled a phone. I would, however, scan through eBay or Swappa and pick up a (working) old device. You can buy phones like the Google Pixel 2 or Galaxy S6 for under £20 ($27.10) to trigger that discount.

It’s not just the Ultra that comes with a freebie; the newly released Galaxy S25 FE has been bundled with a Galaxy Watch 7 40mm, worth £239 ($323.84). This freebie deal is valid until October 2nd. Samsung will also give you £100 ($135.50) for any smartphone, in any condition, when buying the new FE handset. The margins aren’t as good if you plan to pick up a device on the secondary market to trigger that trade-in freebie, but check behind your sofa for a used phone to send in. Both the FE and Galaxy S25 Ultra deals apply to shoppers in the U.K.

Samsung’s Rival Galaxy S25 Ultra And Galaxy S25 FE Livestream

Samsung is teasing its own live event on September 9th, the same day as the Apple Event and iPhone 17 launch. I’m not exactly sure what Samsung will be live-streaming or announcing, but the company is promising a “free gift” to anyone who watches.

I don’t know if the Korean company wanted to keep the gift a mystery, but the terms and conditions clearly state “maximum one Smart Tag2 per transaction.” This is being teased on the Galaxy S25 FE purchase page, so presumably, Samsung will give away a Smart Tag 2 with every FE purchase via a voucher code.

This isn’t the first time the company has given away a freebie to livestream watchers. After the Fold 7 launched, Samsung bundled a free pair of Galaxy Buds3 Pro—for 24 hours— to everyone who watched the livestream and pre-ordered the foldable phone (if the code “ZLIVE” was used at checkout). I imagine most eyes will be on Apple’s new technology tomorrow, but if you’re planning to buy the Galaxy S25 FE, don’t forget to check Samsung’s site for the coupon reveal.
