At CES 2025, Roborock announced one of the most unique robot vacuum cleaners, the Saros Z70, which features a retractable arm. It looks like any other robot vacuum cleaner at first glance but has a novelty feature that, theoretically, could help you pick up socks and put them away. And if you want to experience that novelty at home, the Roborock Saros Z70 is currently on sale. You can purchase one at $1,000 off for Labor Day.

The Roborock Saros Z70 features a mechanical robotic arm called OmniGrip. It is a five-axis robotic arm housed within the vacuum’s 7.98 cm body. The OmniGrip houses precision sensors, a camera, and an LED light, and remains folded inside the vacuum cleaner until it detects an obstruction. It is claimed to pick up and remove objects weighing up to 300 grams, including small items such as socks, tissue paper, and towels.

The feature is turned off by default but can be set up to deploy itself to pick up and remove obstacles that previously caused the cleaning process to pause. The Saros Z70 performs regular cleaning duties while marking and detecting objects it can lift along the way, then returns later to clean missed areas.

Additionally, it sports Roborock’s new StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 for more precise navigation and mapping. It is designed for enhanced environmental mapping and obstacle detection. The system uses a traditional LDS (Laser Distance Sensor) tower module for navigation, accompanied by new dual-light 3D Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensors and RGB cameras. It is said to detect up to 108 different obstacles, including socks, toys, and more.

The Roborock Saros Z70 robot vacuum and mop offers an impressive 22,000 Pa of suction power, which is among the highest in the industry. It also includes the company’s dual anti-tangle system, a FreeFlow main brush, and a liftable FlexiArm Riser side brush to prevent hair tangling.

The Roborock Saros Z70 is priced at $2,599, but it is available at a discounted price of $1,599 for Labor Day. That’s $1,000 off on a robot vacuum with a novelty feature and one of the most precise navigation and mapping systems. The sale is currently live but ends on September 4, so you have three more days to take advantage of the $1,000 discount.
