Sharp Announces Vinyl Revival And Returns To The Turntable Market After Lengthy Break

After a long break, Sharp has announced that it is returning to the vinyl turntable market. The 110-year-old brand is celebrating its comeback to the record player market by presenting the new and fully automatic Sharp RP-TT100, which it unveiled at IFA 2025, in Berlin.

The stylish and fully automatic turntable comes with extensive features—such as Bluetooth and USB-C connectivity—and Sharp is marking its re-entry into the wonderful world of vinyl by pricing the turntable attractively.

In recent years, vinyl has seen a massive upsurge in popularity. Not only has the vinyl revival been spurred on by a strong sense of nostalgia, but the format has attracted a whole new generation of music lovers that is attracted to the tactile and analog format of LPs and singles.

Romance Of Vinyl

Vinyl records are once again part of the classic album launch for many artists and record pressing plants are working at full speed to keep up, while turntable manufacturers are doing brisk business. The new Sharp RP-TT100 turntable brings back the romance of vinyl and combines it with modern and sophisticated technology at an affordable price.

The Sharp RP-TT100 turntable features an aluminum platter, metal tonearm and a matt black housing with a tinted Perspex dust cover. The new turntable blends classic styling with contemporary features such as integrated Bluetooth 5.3 streaming so it can connect wirelessly with compatible active speakers or headphones.

The fully automatic tonearm of the Sharp RP-TT100 has convenient functions, such as fast forward, rewind, pause and repeat. Other highlights include an Audio-Technica AT-3600L cartridge, a switchable phono/line output, a USB-C port for digitizing records, plus a three-step gain control and a ground connection to minimize hum. A remote control is also included in the package for convenient operation from a favorite armchair.

Pricing and Availability:

The new Sharp RP-TT100 turntable will be available in the U.K. and E.U. from October 2025 and is priced at £179.99 / €199.
