Singer D4vd canceled the remainder of his U.S. tour amid an investigation into the death of a 15-year-old girl, whose decomposed remains were found last week in the trunk of his Tesla.

Venues in San Francisco and Los Angeles announced the tour cancellations on Friday. The “Romantic Homicide” singer, 20, was on his Withered World Tour and was scheduled to perform Friday at The Warfield and Saturday at The Greek Theatre.

A link to the event appears to have been removed from the theatre’s website. The Warfield lists the show as “canceled.” According to the singer’s website, he was scheduled to perform overseas, but many of the shows have now also been canceled.

The musician, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has not publicly commented on the canceled tour. His spokesperson said in a statement last week that he was “fully cooperating with authorities.”

An attorney for Burke has not responded to repeated calls and emails for comment.

Los Angeles police have not named a person of interest or a suspect, as the case is considered a death investigation.

The remains were discovered Sept. 8 in the trunk of the singer’s Tesla at a Los Angeles impound lot after police received a call about a foul odor coming from the vehicle. The car was taken to Hollywood Tow after a person reported that it had been abandoned, NBC Los Angeles reported.

Law enforcement sources said the remains were not intact. The county medical examiner’s office identified the remains as those of a teenage girl named Celeste Rivas, who was reported missing last year from Lake Elsinore, California. A cause of death has not been determined.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office said Rivas vanished on April 5, 2024, but did not provide additional details. Matthew Rivas, 18, who identified himself as her brother, said the family is struggling to cope with her death.

“I’m just trying to stay positive. I’m just trying to move forward,” he said this week in a phone interview. “My mom’s grieving really bad. My dad’s grieving really bad.”

On Wednesday night, Los Angeles police searched a home in the neighborhood where the singer’s Tesla was abandoned. Detectives from the robbery and homicide division served a search warrant at the Doheny Place home in connection with Rivas’ death, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.

Several items were recovered and will be analyzed, authorities said.
