WiiM produces a range of affordable music streamers with its ecosystem for setting up multi-speaker and multi-room audio; you can think of it as a competitor to Sonos. WiiM has now expanded its product lineup with two new products: the WiiM Sound and WiiM Sub Pro. The launch represents a pivotal evolution for the WiiM ecosystem, expanding its reach into the portable speaker market and the high-end audio space with the addition of its first subwoofer.

The WiiM Sub Pro was announced back in May 2025 at the High-End Munich Show. The powerful 250W subwoofer has now started shipping and brings big bass with auto room correction thanks to a flexible wired or wireless connectivity that makes it suitable for use with almost any music or home theater setup.

The new 250W subwoofer was designed by WiiM to augment its home audio range with deeper and controlled bass. Styled with a sleek and modern glossy finish, the WiiM Sub Pro has an 8-inch driver and is driven by a Class-D amplifier. With a frequency range of 25Hz to 200Hz, it has the kind of specification that makes it suitable for boosting the low frequencies on music, movies and games.

Auto Room Correction

The WiiM Sub Pro includes automatic room correction that ensures the bass frequencies are set at the appropriate volume and crossover point. It has an RCA input for flexible connectivity with almost any hi-fi system, but it also offers audio streaming using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and the WiiM Home App.

To ensure a reliable wireless connection, the WiiM Sub Pro supports Wi-Fi 6E, 802.11 b/g/n/ac/ax 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz. When it comes to Bluetooth, the system uses Bluetooth 5.3, but it also has an RCA input for connecting with a wide range of audio setups.

The WiiM Sub Pro features smart power management that automatically enters standby mode when it’s idle. However, it can detect a signal to the RCA input to turn on and optimize energy use and simplify daily operation.

Precision Sound Enhancement

Thanks to the Auto Room Correction for the subwoofer so users can ensure the bass is optimized for a room’s acoustics. As part of the growing WiiM Ecosystem, the Sub Pro can be paired with another source device for casting from music apps using Google Chromecast, Alexa Cast, DLNA, Spotify Connect, and TIDAL Connect.

The WiiM Sub Pro can integrate with the new WiiM Ultra for advanced audio streaming or it can be combined with multiple WiiM Minis for a whole-home, multi-room setup. All the devices can be managed with the WiiM Home App, where users can control playback, group rooms and access music services like Spotify, Amazon Music, TIDAL, and more.

Pricing and Availability

WiiM Sub Pro is available from Amazon and select retailers and is priced at $449. The Sub Pro seamlessly integrates with all WiiM streamers, amplifiers, and speakers as well as any third-party device with an RCA subwoofer output.
