In the run-up to Black Friday, companies are launching offers, previewing deals, and preparing bonuses to bring in consumers over the US holiday weekend, and the rest of the world has followed. Those looking to buy into Google’s Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro smartphones can already take advantage of the offers, yet the three bonuses on offer feel familiar.
Pixel 10 Pro’s UK Discounts
First up, of course, is the Black Friday discount for the Pixel 10 family. The standard Pixel 10 has £200 off the 128 GB version, and £100 off the 256 GB version. The Pixel 10 Pro has £100 off across all storage sizes, and the Pixel 10 Pro XL has £200 off across the sizes.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold does not have a direct discount, but Google does offer a bonus for the foldable phone worth considering: a boosted trade-in value.
Pixel 10 Pro’s UK Trade-In Bonuses
If you trade in an older handset, Google will boost its value with an automatic contribution. This varies across the range. The Pixel 10 gets a £100 bonus, the Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL get £150, and the aforementioned Pixel 10 Pro Fold trade-in boost is £200.
As always with trade-ins, you will need to offer a relatively new handset in good condition to unlock the highest discounts. The £625 value (plus the additional £200 bonus) is available on the iPhone 16 Pro Max with 1TB, and Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra is worth £325 plus the £200 bonus. Last year’s Pixel 9 Pro XL – comparable to the S25 Ultra – is worth £400.
Pixel 10 Pro’s Bonus AI Subscriptions
Third in the mix is the offer of Google service subscriptions. This comes with 2 TB of cloud storage on your Google account, additional features and models in Gemini, full access to the NotebookLM service and Gemini features in Google’s core apps, including Gmail, Docs and Sheets.
The Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold all come with 12 months of Google AI Pro. Given that the annual subscription costs £208.89, this is a significant saving both for the extra storage and the AI features.
The Pixel 10’s subscription offer is for six months of Google One Premium. This offers the same 2 TB of cloud storage, but without Google’s additional AI features, and would normally be a £79.99 annual purchase.
Pixel 10 Pro Black Friday Thoughts
A discount on the retail price, an increased bonus on trade-in values, and free subscriptions to the online services that are tied closely to your new phone. The package is undoubtedly attractive.
The issue for many will be that these are broadly similar offers that have been available throughout October and November. Although the trade-in bonus has increased, Google has kept similar discounts and subscription offers in its own stores at a steady level for the majority of the Pixel 10 family’s life.
That certainly ensures that buyers who decided to take up Google’s offer earlier in the year will not feel out of place when a subsequent, better offer comes. And if it works for you during this weekend of special offers, that’s to be celebrated.
But unlike some Black Friday deals, there’s no need to rush. Google has been here before with the Pixel 10 family, and it’s still here.
