Apple’s iPad Air does not have the M5 processor that’s landing with the new iPad Pro (it goes on sale on Wednesday, Oct. 22) but for some, the Pro is overkill. The iPad Air release in March 2025, with its M3 processor, seems like a strong alternative for many users. And it’s now available at a lower price than ever before.

The iPad Air comes in different configurations: choose the storage level (128GB, 256GB, 512GB or 1TB), choose a screen size (11-inch or 13-inch), choose Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi + Cellular and, finally, pick your color. There are four to choose from, space gray, blue, purple and starlight.
Choose carefully and you can save a lot of money at Amazon right now, with some prices even beating the retailer’s recent Prime discounts.
The basic Wi-Fi 11-inch iPad Air costs $599 from Apple, but at Amazon (link here to all 11-inch configurations), it’s $62 off, a price drop of just over 10% at $537 in space gray. Starlight and blue are a little more at $549.05 and purple is $559.
Add cellular connectivity and instead of paying $749 you’ll pay 7% less, $693.02, for space gray or purple. The starlight option is better value at $658.49 while blue is less of a bargain at $703.06.
Those prices are good, but things get much more interesting with some of the other offers.
Step up in screen size and storage and you’ll find the 256GB 13-inch iPad Air with Wi-Fi + Cellular at $879.99, the lowest it’s ever been and a 16% discount compared to the list price of $1,049, that’s $169.01 off. That’s for space gray. The other colors are all a lot more: starlight is $962, blue and purple are $972.28. This is the link for all Amazon’s 13-inch iPad Air offers.
But prices get even keener when you choose 13-inch Wi-Fi + Cellular with 512GB storage. In starlight finish, this is the lowest price it’s ever been. Instead of Apple’s list price of $1,249, Amazon has it for $979.78, a $269.22 savings that’s a full 22% off. Other prices are higher, with space gray clocking in at $1,210, while purple and blue are $1,142.
